This Events and Retreats Policy outlines the terms and conditions for participation in events and retreats organized by Sylvia Sessions. By registering for or attending any Sylvia Sessions event or retreat, you agree to comply with this policy.
Registration and Payment
Registration Process

Registration: Participants must register for events and retreats through our website, www.sylviasessions.com, or other designated registration methods as indicated for said events.

Confirmation: Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and a confirmation email from Sylvia Sessions.

Waitlist: If an event or retreat is full, participants may join a waitlist. Sylvia Sessions will notify waitlisted participants if a spot becomes available.
Payment Terms

Payment Methods: Payments can be made via credit card, PayPal, or other methods as specified on our website.

Deposit: Some events and retreats may require a non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. Details will be provided during registration.

Balance Payment: The remaining balance, if any, must be paid by the specified due date prior to the event or retreat.
Cancellation and Refunds
Participant Cancellations

Cancellation by Participant: Participants who wish to cancel their registration must notify Sylvia Sessions in writing.

More than 30 days before the event: Full refund minus the non-refundable deposit (if applicable).

15-30 days before the event: 50% refund minus the non-refundable deposit (if applicable).

Less than 15 days before the event: No refund.

Organizer Cancellations

Cancellation by Sylvia Sessions: Sylvia Sessions reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events and retreats due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of cancellation by Sylvia Sessions, participants will receive a full refund, including the non-refundable deposit.

If an event is rescheduled, participants may choose to transfer their registration to the new date or receive a full refund.

Health and Safety

Participant Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their own health and safety during events and retreats. Please consult with a healthcare provider before participating if you have any health concerns.

Medical Conditions: Participants must inform Sylvia Sessions of any relevant medical conditions or special requirements at the time of registration.

Insurance: It is recommended that participants obtain appropriate travel and health insurance.
Code of Conduct

Respectful Behavior: Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards all attendees, instructors, and staff. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the event without a refund.

Compliance: Participants must comply with all instructions given by event and retreat organizers and staff.
Photography and Recording

Consent: By attending a Sylvia Sessions event or retreat, participants consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional purposes.

Opt-Out: If a participant does not wish to be photographed or recorded, they must inform Sylvia Sessions in writing prior to the event.
Liability Waiver

Assumption of Risk: Participants acknowledge that they voluntarily assume all risks associated with their participation in events and retreats.

Release of Liability: Sylvia Sessions, its instructors, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by participants during events and retreats.
Changes to Policy
Sylvia Sessions reserves the right to update or modify this Events and Retreats Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
